On Monday, March 8th Bernadette Geronazzo, President at In the Public Eye, was invited to speak at a virtual event on International Women’s Day. The global UN Women theme for International Women’s Day (IWD) 2021 was “Women in Leadership” and Bernadette spoke on “How to be a source of Inspiration in Uncertain Times.” There were more than 700 people from around the world registered to attend this online event with more than 75 global leaders presenting. Kimberly Crowe from Entrepreneurs Rocketfuel was the host who brought together these women from around the world to share their expertise.

Inspired Albertan

AIOT Golf Tournament

Working alongside Socium Law, we at In the Public Eye were pleased to conduct research to determine an appropriate gift item as well as branding elements to ensure the company was clearly seen and remembered long after the event. By adding a high-quality, branded metal golf divot to a small container of blue candy items and a business card attached to each, the response for this corporate gift item was 94%. Many of the golfers were curious and asked questions about Socium Law and those we ensured questions and contact details were offered to offered to the company at the close of the tournament.

The draw prize for the $125 gift certificate to The Concord Entertainment Group of fine restaurants in Calgary, garnered a 76% level of interest to provide Socium Law with numerous new business key contacts with whom to follow up with. Socium Law’s title sponsorship at this second annual AIoT golf tournament provided the firm with excellent visibility as the tent and branding were positioned on the 10th hole, alongside the entrance driveway to the Lynx Ridge Golf Clubhouse and visible to golfers throughout the day.

Women Talk

As one of several women invited to be a co-author for the book, When Women Talk, I was then given the opportunity to present a portion of my writing in a talk held at the Coast Plaza Hotel back in 2018.

Successful women in business throughout Alberta attended this talk and my topic was focused on “Inspirational Women.”  Some of these outstanding women were famous and others made their impact by the way in which they led their extraordinary lives.

The Coast Plaza Hotel was the venue and Sue Deyell from 66CFR Radio Station was MC in a room filled with vibrant energy.  It was an honour to be one of the selected speakers for Brigette Lessard-Deyell with Women Talk – https://www.womentalk.ca/
